I can assign most of the buttons on my remotes without a problem, but I can't get the TIVO select button to assign, even using the Full Assign technique. Any suggestions?

Welcome nsmks.
When you say: "I can't get the TIVO select button to assign" do you mean you can't assign the select button on a TiVo remote or you can't select the TiVo input source on a universal remote?
What make and model is your TiVo device and remote?
Can you assign other buttons from the TiVo remote?

Thanks for asking. Some of the buttons on the TIVO remote assigned easily and some did not. In going through them systematically in order to answer your question, I discovered that it was a problem with the operation of the remote — a light touch was required on a number of the buttons. Once I found that, I was able to successfully assign the "select" button. Problem solved. Sorry for bothering you.

No problem. Only too willing to help when I can.
A brief tap on the button is best when learning. Results can vary by altering the distance between the remotes.
To avoid possible interference I do all my signal learning in the bathroom.
Don't forget to repost anytime you need help or have a question that you would like answering.
